light globes

just a question, do the phillips spotone globes you get from bunnings or big w, produce uv light? can you have one of them on all day as long as the temp is kept right? ive been using the exo terra globes, but i find the phillips seem to work just as good and are a quarter of the price.

They would produce oodals of UVA, but UVB no.

I leave mine on all day on a timer and adjust the globes to suit as the year gets cooler/hotter.
NO thermostat.
Big breeders also do this so it works.
You MUST monitor your temps regularly though, especially when the temp starts to change with the seasons.
An infra red thermometer checker is the go for this one.
