Can you use frozen ones? or do they have to be live?

you should try using frozen ones, I used to feed mine live, but made the switch and it is so much easier now. Just keep 10 or so in the freezer for whenever I need them.

I'm not sure, but I think that would be right. The easiest way would probably to be to breed them yourself

i have a hatchling spotted python that is a fussy eater and would like to try live/fresh pinkies to see if I can get him to have a meal. Preference is and always has been to feed frozen food(my other animals all take frozen food), but in this case I have exhausted most other methods other than force feeding.
regards David

Pinky's only stay pinkies for a few days and they can't live on their own (need milk) so I don't think any pet shop would be able to sell live ones, you need to see or become a breeder. Have you tried other methods eg. moving the mouse so it looks alive or giving it a brain haemorrage, the smell of brain fluid is supposed to tell them it's ready to swallow and it definately "wakes them up", they get a bit more excited, but still don't always eat. I've had a couple of fussy CP's and offering live (only a few times when I was really worried) never got any more of a response but they do say that each snake can be different and respond to different things.
Good Luck!
