male vs female?

Would this go for any snake? Temperament no different in either gender? Does it bother a snake to live by itself and not ever be bred with?

The sex (not gender-gender has nothing to do with snakes) makes no difference with temprement.
As for them living alone forever and never mating-they're solitary in the wild right-and live with the hope of mating. So keeping them alone and never breeding them won't affect them (as far as my understanding tells me)

Gee whiz, i live with the hope of mating, but if i never got any i feel i would be very adversly affected. mmmmm...that reminds me...... :roll:
