Question More want than room

First of all I would like to say to everyone I have two enclosures. I am currently awaiting the arrival of my first two Bredli. I would like to know from all you experienced herpers out here if I can house the two bredli together? I ask not out of necessity but out of want as I wish to purchase another python. I am wondering what would be required or if even possible to house the two Bredli together. Both are very similar size and age. Feeding will be done in a seperate feeding cage at separate times. Would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks in advance

Sorry if this is not the right thing to ask or right place to post but I am relatively new to this site and new to herping.

I know that the first thing some people will ask is how big are the enclosures..?

I personally wouldn't as juvieniles, but after they are about a year old I don't see a problem as long as they're the same size

Its not a good idea to house two in one cage.

Things like OPMV for starters.....

If your wanting another python by another enclosure IMO, you can not hope to control the possible spread of disease between two snakes if they are housed together.

A chance exists that they will cause harm to each other, which doesnt exist if housed apart.

I think it would be in the best intrest of the animals if housed apart, and any new animals you get just buy/build another enclosure.

I cant think of any real advantage in houses two Bredli together

i wouldnt.... they are solitary animals, there would be no benefit for the snakes to be housed together......

spend the money and buy another tank..... if you can afford to buy and keep these snakes, you can afford another tank.....
only has to be a click clack and heatmat $50 tops! if your buying a juvie!

They can be housed together but that size will be too small when adults IMO. Also if you want to breed you will need to seperate them.

Using seperate cages wont save you from OPMV anyway, unless you use seperate hooks and never touch or clean one cage straight after each other, and never give uneaten food to the other snake. So I wouldn't worry about the OPMV side of things.
Of course still quarantine them from any other herps you have for an initial period.

I keep some of my pythons together all year round with no problems. Most people that have had OPMV problems have had there whole collection infected not just one enclosure. It is a disease that is easily transmitted. From what I'm told Bredli will house together quite well. We have one very large enclosure that houses a pair of coastals that have lived together for years. There is always the possibility that they could turn on each other, but mine seem happy enough to stay together.
