I've never bother about the humidity.

I keep my bearded dragons inside and outside without any trouble. I spray my hatchies every day to make sure they're getting water and that's that. I always have a water dish available to my dragons.

My bearded dragons are happy, healthy and breed readily. I think you should just ask others in Melbourne if they worry about humidity or just rely on the local climate.

Cheers

Jenny

yeah I live in Melbourne and I hardly worry about humidity except with juvies aswell..
they come from an arid region so high levels of humidity is basically rare, I put my water bowl down the cool end for 1 to stop the water heating up, and 2 to stop humidity getting too high.
I raise it with my gravid female in summer but thats only to assist in laying her eggs....theres no real evidence that shows they do worse off without it. just make sure the water bowl is big enough for them to go for a swim and soak
