Have you measured the temperatures on the surface of the basking spot?

I keep mine at 30-35c with a basking spot of about 40c and the cool end between 21-27c.If you have trouble keeping the cool end cool try an ice pack wrapped in a towell. Hope this helps.Good luck with your new baby.

just for 5 minutes put beardie in another container........put your thermometer at beardies head height & hold there till the temp stays still....this is your basking temp for beardy... from 36-38 pretty good.... just remember your cool end has to be more than 10degree difference.....at night for a hatchie/juvie ....not under 16 degrees!

Good idea sockbat!
