Newb with a few questions...

Hey all,
Just joined up, great site BTW heaps of useful info im sure i will be here alot in the future. Just starting this thread to get some advice on getting an enclosure for my first snake. I have looked over the web and havent found much at all on stores where they are sold so I was hoping maybe someone could point me in the right direction.
I did however come across Strictly Reptiles website which has a few different cages.

accidently hit submit :D

On the site I decided if i was going to get on of their enclosures it would have to be one of the medium sized ones (to fit my budget). here is a link if anyone is interested.

http://www.strictlyreptiles.com.au/s...ort=20a&page=1

Anyway my first question is based on the size of the enclosure. It being : Size = Width 920 mm x Depth 770 mm x Height 510 mm. Is this enough space to house an Adult Stimsons Python?

I was also wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a Stimmi breeder somewhere near SE QLD.

Any help on either of these things would be appreciated.

build your own, alot cheaper! you can buy from pet stores but to expensive. also you can convert old display cabinets and plastic tubs from hardware stores. you can use anything that is escape proof, has ventilation and nothing that will harm your reptile.

That would be more than enough to house a full grown Stimson.

If you are looking at starting with a Hatchie you will not need a full size enclosure for quite some time, and would just start with a click clack and heating.

There should be plenty of Stimmie hatchlings coming on the market shortly, buy tou would not find too many around at the moment. Just keep your eye on the For Sale section.

Thats the truth. Almost two years ago I started with a Stimson's, followed 6 months later by a Coastal, another 3 months another Coastal, another 6 months a Diamond and another Stimsons. Probably looking to get a pair of Blonde Macs this season, and hopefully breed my Stimson's next year.

You have all of this to look forward to.
