No incubator

Hey guys.
Just wondering what to do with snake eggs without having an incubator? I currently own a pair of 18 month old womas and am interested in learning about breeding so when it comes im ready. Is an incubator a must or what is the go?
Thanks

You can let them incubate the eggs themselves but i think for the snakes sake and the success rate, it's better to incubate them yourself, there are a few threads around on how to build an incubator, just use the search function.Sorry i couldn't be of much help, hopefully more knowledgeable people on this site will give you there opinions.

Incubator is advisable, especially due to the value of a Woma clutch. You can build your own for about $200, and most of that would be going towards the thermostat.

Also i dont think you have to worry about it just yet your womas are too young, i would think.

I was caught short a few years ago and needed to make an incubator in a hurry. The easiest solution I could make was an esky filled a quarter way with with and an aquarium heater. Worked very well but humidity was an issue, but like MrBredli said the potential outcome will certainly cover to money you outlay now.

What size incubator is usually required for a clutch of python eggs? How much room would u need for a large clutch?

I havnt really seen anywhere that it says how much room a clutch of eggs takes up in an incubator though.

Depends how big the tub you use is. I think the tub i used for my bredli last season was about 45cm x 30cm x 15cm (very roughly). There were 21 eggs in that clutch. You need a bit of air movement around the tub so i'd say the smallest sized incubator you could use would be about 55cm x 40cm x 25cm (that's using the same sized tub i used and it would only hold 1 clutch/tub).

Yea i think i will build one as the egg laying season approaches. I just didnt want to build a small box and then realise ive got 25 emu eggs to incubate, and should have organised a big fridge incubator.
