Not eating?

Hi All, I've just tried to feed my 6month old diamond male a fuzzy rat and after initally taking the rat its now just curling around it. His head is nowhere near the rat - doesn't seem interested.

Is this maybe a prey killing thing or could there be another reason he doesn't want to eat?

He was last fed a fuzzy rat 3wks ago.

RE: Not eating?

Give it time, some of my snakes take half hour to figure out where the head is..

Lol you're so right! Just went to check and he's eating now. I was guna pull him away and throw the fuzzy out thinking maybe its a bad one. Funny cos normally my smart boy goes straight for the head if he gets the wrong end.

...guess I'm just a paranoid mum

RE: Re: RE: Not eating?

Gee! I was worried when my Mac took a whole min to find the head of his pinkie!! (first time I fed him was today)

I think I need to relax more

Glad yours worked it out eventually!

this paranoid mum thing might calm down as time goes on snakegal, we are both the same! :-)

RE: Re: RE: Not eating?

cold weather may of made him alittle less enthusiastic than normal, a bit like getting out of bed to go to work.

JasonL, shift work and afternoon starts helps with the getting out bed in winter thing. Sleep through the coldest part of the day.
