NSW record book question

Just filling in my record book and found a little pickle! I bought a male/female pair of geckos a while back which recently i found out the 'pair' were both females, i have written on my record book in the past that they were male and female. So can i just change it on the book to 2 females?
And also when you buy a young reptile and its sex is unknown, can you then change it to male or female once you find out?
Cheers

Jimbo - create a new entry under the old one for that species - change it to two female and zero males - then make a note in the 'comments' section that they were incorrectly sexed. Your total animals will remain the same - only the sexes will change...

Good idea, I usually just change the numbers. I wouldn't worry too much about sexes, even the DSE realise that reptiles can be hard to sex.

Yes I just cross out or write over the top. In the returns that get circulated years later there is no mention of numbers of each sex. I really dont think DECC is that interested.

I list most of my animals as un-sexed even though I know 100% what they are.

I believe the reptile books were modelled off bird books. In birds sex is often visually determinable which is not the case with most reptiles.

No i think i'll get one, i may move back here within the next 5 years and they won't refund me, or let me transfer it to the Wait Awhile state, so why cancel and waste the money?
