Obese Snake?

I didn't think there was a problem but my mum walked into my room today - took one look at my 10 month old female MD and said "that doesn't look right - she's enormous, stop feeding that thing (she's not a fan of the hobby)". But now i come to think of it - my boyfriend also calls the MD fatty on occasions - thought i'd check with you guys - she looks fine to me. Big, but proportionate. I feed her weaner mice every 4-5 days.

I also have a male MD and a female Bredli which i feed every 6-7 days, they just don't seem to be as hungry as often. Xana (the fatty in question) spend alot of time in her tree in the pounce/hunting postition with her head down (found it in one of my herp books).

By the way - these photos were taken today - and i fed her yesterday, so she is slightly rounder than usual....

so my weaner mouse every 4-5 days isn't over feeding and she won't have horrific egg binding issues when adult?

Nothing wrong with it. It should have nice bulge in the belly if you are feeding it right. Here is a pick of an olive that has just had a nice scarfing........
