On a more serious note...it was a very nice yearling...but never been a great eater...managing to asist feed after trying everything....just starting to become better with food....ate 3-4 pinky rats a week....looked in the enclosure today and she was having spasms...then she died on the spot
The urate is what she passed upon her death....

Sorry to hear that, it must be awful for you. I'm sorry I dont actually have any idea what may have caused that, maybe take the animal to a vet and see if they can give you any answers, especially if you have any other pythons. if it's a disease it may spread.

What did you feed her? Where do you get the food from.

It could have been something that the food item had in its stomach.

She was fed pinky rats...we grow the food ourselves which we have been doing for sometime.
Really have know idea...possibly just a weak snake due to the fact it never ate well??

Hi,if you want to know what actually caused it get it tested, bhps die from salmonella from time to time,Neil Sonnemon
reports this and i have had some die from bergendorfs strain salmonella also and they writh about in agony.Appart from that it could be viral, doubt whether it would be fatty liver in such a young animal.

Green, from what i was told, can be a sign of liver damage.
I had that before after spraying for mites and the snake died

Visit Facebook Profile
the green is bile - indicates liver problems as GSXR_Boy has said
I had a baby carpet die who was excreting bile prior to death and the post mortem examination revealed liver failure - I'd recommend getting a post mortem done
