Make sure the avairy is positioned where it will receive sunlight for most of the day, but also shaded areas. Make sure you give careful consideration to winter retreats and wind breaks and avoid making the ground too damp. I think the best hiding places to provide are a couple of sheets of corrigated iron...much better than hollows and hiding boxes. Also plant a few large grass tussocks!!
