PLEASE help!

My second clutch of beardies have started to hatch and im short on money. I was wandering if i could put the new babies in with the 5-6 week old ones. Or is it too risky, im going to sell the 6 week old babies as soon as i get my license (which i have been waitng for months).

I thought that they may be ok in the tank im currently using because it is 4 feet, has a large basking area and the 5-6 week beardies arent too much bigger than the new hatchies, also they wont be in the tank for too long.

PLEASE give me some advice.

you dont have a licence?

you 'should' keep hatchling dragons im groups of 5 or less.

put a divider in the tank, and give each a lamp. you shouldnt have dragons without a licence, nor should you breed without money.

chances are they are refusing your licence if youve waited 'months' and have off licence animals. give them a call, explain the severity of your situation and you may get an exemption notice.

assuming youve cared for them correctly the older dragons should be larger than new borns and this should not be kept together.

Why do you have bearded dragons and breeding them when you have no license? If these are wild caught then getting a license does jack all for selling them.

I was merely asking a question and telling him that even if he does get the license it wont do anything to help sell them because they are all off license .

But yeah, it don't cost much for a plastic tub till you can get something proper, they are cheap at the cheapo shops or even bunnings. Even fish tanks aint that much really, but how are you gonna afford to feed 2 clutches if you don't have the money to even house them? Serious question not having a go.

I do have a license but i had to renew it and i have rang a while ago and they said they were behind (giving the licenses out i guess).
I renwed my license like 4 months ago, i do know how to care for them. i was just wandering if i could keep them in the same tank, which i know i cannot. Dont worry i guess i have to just put them in a 2 foot tank untill i sell the others.
Dont assume i have reptiles 'off' license, i just didnt want to talk about my license getting renewed, itbites i was busy for a matter of fact.

Don't worry Zeus. Jumping to conclusions is how most people get their exercise on here.

Dint think you could have a permit under 18 yrs of age!........ but thats not the issue!
Think out of the box per say!

if you have a long U.V light it can be put across separate container, giving you multiples of housing

I know of someone who layed a wooden wardrobe flat....already had a divider.... set up the U.V along the middle... then proceeded to devide again .....using heat mats helped& she also used sand as substrate
...kept the warmth well .... after the 1st week she added individual basking lights.... per area...only 20wts

u have to be over 10 to get a permit in VIC
Thats a great idea, have like 3 tubs and have a 4ft UV over the 3 of them instead of spending money on 1 for each, if you know what i mean
Good idea Dragon lady

Ta bb99.........makes sense ....most think they have to buy all the contraptions just because its in the reptile shop!

Natural Sand is cheap...i get the same that is cleaned & used for sand pits....at a sand & metal yard they also have REAL wood for fire places...stumps ,logs ,huts...with bark on them that also retains heat better & the bark they love rubbing against when shedding...also easy to clean...& looks great.
Real stuff is cheaper....we dont have PLASTIC reptiles ...or do we!
