question

my 18 month old female bhp has just started rufusing food ( 2 weeks in a row ) which is unusual as she has never missed a feed, i was thinking that it may be do to her natural instinct regarding breeding?

probably, don't fuss about it as two weeks is nothing really.
Has anything changed that could have stressed her? eg. temps, enclosure, hide box, etc.

She may be getting ready to shed aswell. Give her some time, as reptilemart said, 2 weeks is nothing.

Many snakes go off their food this time of year.

You have? Even up there?

What I said sounded stupid, i meant - Snakes often put themselves off food this time of year because they are thinking it's time to brumate/hibernate/cool and all that. Even if you don't decrease their temperature, they notice the daylight hours getting shorter and their body clock is no doubt in tune with what time of year it is..they are still wild animals.

If you have a look through this forum, herp help, there's many questions about this kind of thing, its very normal what your snake is doing.

It's the quiet time of year for most of us with adult snakes...no feeding, no handling, not even seeing them much till it warms up again. It's a good time of year for pairing though
