Racks????

Hey again..... I was wondering if anyone knows of a good site that has plans or heaps of pics of large snake racks. : I want to start breeding pythons so I'm looking for some ideas to so I can get an idea on a design. :wink: Seperate enclosures take up way too much space and I heard racks can actually be better than cages?

my hatchlings go in tuppaware containers on a rack sorta thingy and my oldre ones in cages and they do just fine but my lizards r outdoors in an aviry style cage.

Best bet is to decide on the tub size you are going to use first of all and then just build a pigeon hole type of rack which is really easy and basic to build. Best to make the rack wider than higher as then you can run a single heat tape along the back of each level which will still give you a heat gradation in the tubs. Hope this helps.

Also have a look at Herptrader (www.herptrader.com.au) as there are some second hand racks going from there too at the moment but they are not cheap.
