Reptile Vet Brisbane

Can anyone recommend a good reptile vet on the southside of Brisbane? Has anyone tried 'Brisbane birds & exotics veterinary service' , Dr Deborah Monks?

I have a Woma that is blowing bubbles from his nose and mouth, only picked him up a week ago and he has been doing it on and off since.

Don't worry, just saw the other thread listing herp vets. The one I mentioned isn't on the list, but I think I will give her a try.

Yeah I noticed his name mentioned in a few threads, Deborah Monks is a lot closer to me, so I will try her first and then if no good will drive all the way the D Bay.

Deception Bay vet clinic is the only one I would use, especially for a woma
Get it there quick if it's blowing bubbles it's well worth the drive
meanwhile turn up the heat to 30+
Hope this helps
Sandee

Thanks Bredlislave, I have turned the thermostat up to 31c. I got him a week ago tomorrow and I noticed he was doing it then, I was told not to worry and that everything was ok, by the seller. Maybe just a change in climate (Townsville to Brisbane). Now that it is happening out of his mouth and nose I am worried. He is also not interested in food so I will try to get him into tomorrow to be looked at.

For those on the S/Side of Brisbane, I took my woma to Dr Deborah Monks at Brisbane Birds & Exotics Veterinary Service. She knows her stuff, is genuinely interesed, does a good prelim'/background check and is only too happy to answer any questions. By the way my Woma does have a mild upper resp infection and is on a 4 course program of antibiotics.

For any rep needs expecially RInfection, clayton knight would have to be the best.
I have seen a few over the years, and have not found a vet as caring and fair priced as him
he is in deception bay vet clinic.
Definitley worth the trip.
He had our water python with a cronic RI infection last year for a week, we didnt have much hope for him, now he is is A1 condition and healthy as.

I agree Clayton Knight is a excellent rep vet. I've just had my two bredli see him with very very severe RI. Wen't back today and after 2 weeks there clear (just hope they stay that way) but looking much better. Lucky you caught the RI in time.

I have heard only good reports about Clayton, but for those of us on the Southside of Brisbane it will be nice to know we have a capable Herp vet this side of town. I am back tomorrow morning with my woma for his second shot and check. I will keep you posted, but I have no complaints so far. Dr Deborah MONKS, Brisbane Birds & Exotics Veterinary Service. Oh, by the way, I have no interest in this business other than the health of my snakes, so totally objective!
