Ok as some ppl know im gettin 3 hatchie marbled gex next week and have been reading thru the forums and was wondering what kind of food would be best for them?? would like to be able to breed thier food.... wat sort of calcium do i use before feeding to the gex?? what are the proper names of the roaches or crix i should be gettin for these guys... any help would be much appreciated thanks guys

roaches, crickets are so much more work to breed, i use only roaches and havent even looked back to crickets

i use both, when i got mine he was too small to eat even the smallest roach i could get form pisces. i fed him on crickets while he was in his click clack by the time he was ready to move into his big boy tank he was big nough for either which is what he gets.

ok cool so just really small crix till they are a bit bigger?? pin heads?? what calcium do i use tho?? do i need to get those reptile shedding products and such?? or are they a ploy?? lol im so new at gex, should i add anything to their misting and drinking water?? do they need spesh vitamins etc??

i'd use roaches, i'm pretty sure they are better for your herps than crickets anyway

ahhh ok so what are these roaches called that i need?? how long till they breed??? and how do i setup up the roach enclosure, what food and water supplys do they need etc heating lighting?

sorry mate i dont own gex but you can get really really small ones from www.herpshop.com.au it hink they are called speckled feeder roaches..... try pming 'geckodan' he seems to be the resident gecko man

i'd get 2-3lots of 55day old, i normally order 600-700 at a time but i also have dragons and insects to feed

get the smallest roaches u can fro feeding, they grow really quickly,..
if ur gonna breed them get 400 adults (thats the most they can put into 1 box) so u get a good colony going, that way you'll have more tiny babies than u can shake a stick at,...

yea ive only got 3 baby gex lol will i get 1 lot of small ones aswell to feed them when they get here?? so you think id need 3 lots of the 55day old ones to keep a supply of baby roaches for these guys when they start breeding??
