hey guys,
just after some dimensions of what would be an ideal size scrubby enclosure. i know the perimeter should be at least the length of her.
after advice from someone who has kept a larger scrubby before.
she is 3.5 metres at the moment. but want a good size one to last.
also what would be the best heating unit for her.
thanks

Do you have any pics of her, would love to see some pics of a 3.5m scrubbie.
You're going to need height for her to climb, and in saying that I would go for something about 2m high by 2m wide. Heating, will be like any morelia, make sure she has a hot spot, wired to thermostat and set to about 32c-34c

iv done my research and seen first hand big scrub enclosures(outdoor), they seem to use big spot light and a heated hide box if you wish in the scrubbie enclosure. im in the middle of setting up a couple of oudoor enclosure i.e. large bird avaries for some large coastals around the 9 foot mark and a scrubbie(only little girl atm) but will eventually suit her. i have a bank of 3 it is 9 mtres by 3mtres deep and 2mtres high.so each enclosure is 3mtres square. that is heaps of room but its prefernce on size bigger if you wish. half the enclosure has a tin roof and the other half not the sun is where they get their heat in the day along with the big heated hide box. and basking spot lamp also. sorry im not an experienced large scrub owner but my good mates and family are and ive had the privilage to see and be tought the way they do things. hope this is of some help

you dont need heaps a room as everyone thinks, because like any snake 99% of the time they sit curled up in the one spot. as long as they can move around comfortable and streach out abit should be sweet.

from what i've seen make your hot spot using a wide beam light onto a shelf about 600 x 600 or bigger if you have the space. A 4fl fluro for lighting the enclosure, it will give uvb as a bonus.
2w x 2h x 1d would be ok. But longer would be better
If you want some heat at night try a moonlight black light. It will give you some visible light as well without disturbing the snakes day night cycles.
