No way I'd want to be near the receiving end of half a ton of 'excited' stallion! Thankfully Jack's response is 'gerrrrroffffffff', which makes it a little easier to deal with mentally, hehehe!

I know, I can't stop her laying. I tried to give her a break but she isn't having any of it. Enough chit chat though LOL!

There you go Horsy, other people who keep and breed U.milii confirm that Salem is definitely a male. Hope you find a female for him. They are lots of fun to breed, and the babies are absolutely adorable.

Sorry I doubted you. Perhaps pulling his tail down to check clearly did stretch it to a degree that the oval wasn't clearly visible. Sorry about that.
Are the really territorial? I moved my Male AHG enclosure next to Salem's for a couple of minutes while I was shifting stuff and as soon as Salem saw him, he lunged at the side and tried to go scrambling up the wall =\ But when the female AHG is around, he doesn't mind at all.

No worry about that, question everything, that's my saying. The only reason I pushed the point is that if you had put a male in with him they would most likely have torn shreads from each other, didn't want to see that happen.

Yes males are very territorial and will seriously injure each other if put together as sexually mature adults. I'm sure there are exceptions, but as a general rule, don't keep male U.milii together.

Not sure if Salem can tell the difference between male and female AHG's. I assume they use scent to tell the difference, so it's possible that he can. Best not to put them together. I don't mix males or species to keep everyone in the herp room happy (except Strophurus species which really don't seem to mind male companions or other same sex companions of another strophurus species)

Oh Salem knows. Haha. I don't mix them, the enclosures were just side by side. Well Salem has been out and about with Robbie, my Beardie, and Jewel, my female AHG and was fine with them. Actually quite protective of Jewel. I'll keep an eye out for a female and see what comes my way

I have my fingers crossed for you. Pails for scales sometimes have females, but you'd have to pay for the freight and go pick up from the airport.

Well I have to pick up my diamond hatchy in a few weeks. If I could play it right I could pick them up at the same time. Haha. This reptile store in Ipswich sells them but only have 1 male left at the moment. I think I got really lucky with Salem. I wasn't even looking for another gecko after my first AHG but Ian asked me if I wanted him, said he'd deliver so I agreed One of my best decisions yet. How many geckos do you have?

About 80 or so at the moment. Salem is adorable, I'm sure he loves living with you!

Omg. 80 Wow I thought 5 was getting to be too much. Haha. I was thinking of getting a leaf tailed gecko or two to put in robbie's enclosure when he out grows it since it's mainly climbing stuff. But since I have so many AHGs accumulating, I might chuck them in there. THey'd love it.

Haha I think he likes it. Definately loves coming out and having a cruise around my arms and back. When I walk in the room, he comes over the the front and watches me. All I have to do is put my hand in and he'll climb up onto me. I take him everywhere, even to the shops. Hej ust sits on my shoulder while people point and say "Aww look at the little lizard". Like a parrot, he is.
