Hatchling carpets can be probed, so at 5-7 months it will be fine. Obviously it should only be done by an experienced hand.

Hmmmm doesnt say much for him as a dealer, if he's looking for a 'real professional' to perform what should be relatively simple for any experienced keeper.

Try www.exoticpetsmobilevets.com they are NOR & SOR and I'm assuming that they'd know how to probe. I've heard that their consult fees are reasonable.

Usually unsexed animals end up being male - especially if females are pulling higher prices.

It cost me about $7 - $10 when I took 1 to the vet for a check up and probing, but I think I just have a great vet, I don't think charging those rates would pay their bills.

Same one I think, I don't know how many vets there are at Canley Heights. I took 2 snakes there, the other cost me a bit more, injections for RI, but thats all I paid for the sexing. My follow up appointment for the RI the next week was completely free!
