Shedding or not???

On wednesday i noticed my bredli (6months) had milky eyes, so i have let him be for the rest of the week, expecting him to shed. They still appeared some-what milky on friday but today are clear. I realise this is a stage of the shed process, but he's due a feed today. Does this mean i leave it until he sheds, assuming that is what is happening? How long will this process take? There would be no other reason for his milky eyes??? Any info would be reassuring. Thanks!

RE: Shedding or not???

He should shed shortly. Your choice if you feed him or not, but don't be surprised if he doesn't take it. If you do decide to feed, don't make it a large meal.

RE: Shedding or not???

yes your right he will shed in a few days
wait till he has shed befour feeding him
make sure your snake gets all the old shed off him ...dont leave it on your snake for to long as it can cause problems (i have lost a tail end on snake that i dident check and also iv seen infections under old shed when in humid conditions)

Wait until he's shed before you make the move to mist him or anything. Then you'll see if he has a problem or not. Misting will increase the humidity I think?

He'll shed soon. Then you'll know more.

Misting will increase humidity, and may help with a shed, however most will be fine without it. A misting everynow and then isnt going to cause any harm.

Between 1-2 weeks after their eyes become clear again they usually shed.

RE: Shedding or not???

try adding a lidded container of moist spagnem moss in, cut a hole in one end of course!, they seem to love it, it seems to help them shed easier as well, if you place a bit of the container over the heat mat it will be quite warm and humid in there, they will decide how much time they want to spend in it,
