shedding Problems

Hi all,

I've got a 2year old coastal and he seems to be having a problem shedding the last time was fine he shed a full skin but this time he has shed his head to his neck area and seems to be shedding from his belly up.
there is a lot of loose and flaking skin on him, this has taken about 2 weeks to get to this point and still has about half his body to go.
I have soaked him and given him a mist spray every now and then.
is this normal in some snakes from time to time as he is still eatting as normal.

Thanks
Scott.

shedding

hi blazer. its very important that all the old skin is removed- i have had problems with mine occasionally, usualy the environment is too dry or thay cant get access to water to soak when they need- make sure the water dish is big enouch to soak in if it needs.
now that its half shed you should assist it to shed- soak it and remove the rest of the skin, takes time and you shouldnt force the skin off, but soak it so it comes off easily.
