I think expansa1 and flavirufus both keep them, but neither come on here often.

I love this little monitor too..but cant get my hands on any until im old enough to get my class 2 license (and of course get the money).
Not much help but i think their care would be much the same as other small monitors - mainly gilleni, acanthurus and eremius which have a similar range. Less height for the enclosure of course.
Heres a very brief outline of their care if you havent already seen this: http://www.varanus.nl/V_brevicauda_beschr_eng.htm

I havnt ever kept them but I would give them a hot basking spot 60C or more(at the hottest part) and sand as a substrate, from what i have read they mainly eat insects. Other than that i would assume standard monitor husbandry would be ideal.

Thanks for your help guys, Im getting a trio next week and was wondering if a 1200mmL x 600H x 600W would suit the trio.

heaps heaps heaps big enough.
A trio could happily live in a 2-3' tank.

That should be great, some people keep pairs of ackies in 4x2x2 (and probably smaller) so a trio of brevicauda should have plenty of room.
Dont forget to post pics of them when you get them! Good luck with them.
