Just would like to pick the brains of those more experienced than myself out there,
My Stimson's python started shedding last night. I was wondering how long it should take??
She hasn't moved or doesn't seem to have made any progress after 12 hours, is this usual??
I think there's enough humidity in the enclosure the water dish is under her heat lamp and does show signs of evaporation. Should I also be spraying her lightly with a water mist??
Look forward to reading your answers, Thank you.

When you say she started shedding do you mean the skin is coming off it's head ? If it still isn't off then you need to soak her in some warm water and help ease it off. Put it in a container with a lid (with air holes) and put a few cm's of warm water in it, leave the snake for half an hour or so then just gently roll the skin back, if there is much resistance soak it again.

Thanks for the advice 'Boa'.
Yeah she looks to have completely shed but she hasn't just started from the head. She seems to be incased in her old skin like it's a sock. I'm not sure if I should make a hole in her old skin to assist her, any thoughts on this??
Again thanks for your help.

Sounds to me like the skin isnt ready to come off, they go all cloudy looking for a few days before shedding. Trying to remove it early could dmamge the snake.
