i think make it slightly warmer than room temp (not if its a boiling hot day)
put some warm water down and test it i think in your own mind you could tell if thats too hot
or use a thermometre of some from that works

ok i'm goig to give her her bath, after searching high and low for the thermometer, can't find it.
Tried changing the substrate and let her out for a wiggle.
I know what lukewarm water is as i have two young children, so i'll make it a bit cooler than what i use for them.

kwaka, bathing your snakes isn't necessary, some people do it if they are worried their snake is constipated.
What I would do with the temperature of the water, is listen to the person that has more than a couple of months experience, which is Magpie.
It's great people try and help, but be careful giving advice if you've only had a snake for a couple of months, lately there has been some dangerous advice given out by people that haven't had much experience and 'heard' things.
This isn't a go at anyone here, it's just another interesting thread seeing people still new to the hobby argue with one that has kept snakes for years.

put water in with the snake if it wants a bath it will get in itself
if your bathing the snake because you just want to then i would say dont bother unless it has got itself dirty or having shedding problems there is no reason to force a snake into water
and at this time of year its asking for problems as no matter how warm you get the water whenthe snake gets out it will end up to cold
