Snake biting snake!!

My Coastal male has turned into a bit of a psycho lately, and think's that anything that moves he has to bite.I just went to check on my snakes and i moved the torch across the coastal enclosure the male struck and bite the female, she looks fine, but i was just wondering, from peoples experience is there usually any problems that can come from a bite.

Thanks

sounds like a bad case of housing snakes together gone bad(may not be the case) , if it was me id just separate them, tho ive had my two diamond's out and the female struck at the male (didnt bite him) and then he went crazy, good luck with him hope he doesnt do it again and it may happen again,
cheers,
brad.

they shouldnt be housed together for this exact reason....

Ok guys thanks for your input, but your missing the point, he did not mean to bite the female he was striking at the torch light moving across his enclosure and unfortunately the female was in the way.Secondly if you want to breed snakes they have to be housed together at some point. So to clear things up my question is more concerned with things like possible infection?

Whatever you would do to yourself after a bite, do it to the female.

so i take it these are adults, so i guess that makes all the seperate enclosure replys no help at all,

i've had a BREEDING pair do the same, i didn't treat it, so unless there are big cuts or heaps of blood, i'd just keep an eye on her and maybe a bit of watered down betidine (sp) ,
