Snake Burns

Hey all,
How do mild burns show on a snake?
Do they turn the scales a stark albino-like white?
Cheers

RE: Snake Burns

The only snake burns I've seen made the scales have a "crinkly" look.
White scales I've seen from Baytril injections.

Mine showed white as you described (I know it was a burn because I saw it happen). He shed a few weeks later and didn't do well around that area and needed a bit of soaking and rubbing to get rid of those scales. I have been rubbing vit E oil into the area a couple of times a week and he looks good now. My fingers are crossed that the next shed will be back to normal.

Mild burns that i have seen are usually a pearly white and smooth, almost like the scales have melted slightly.
