Snake changing colour??

Hi all, I have a 3 year old childrens which is changing colour. I bought him in July of last year and he was a dark brown colour. He shed a couple of nights ago and now he has gone a lighter brown. What does this mean?? Is there any thing wrong with him???

most snakes as they mature go very dark over winter and lighten up as the weather warms.
