hi there...

The wet pillow case is a good way to help your snake with shedding, but you said she hasn't shed properly since you had her...
How long has it been? How old is she? How many sheds did she have?
There probably is an underlying problem there....
Now I don't know much about olives, but shedding problems are usually due to low air humidity or skin infection...

Good luck anyway,

Yann.

I have had it happen to me only once, where the shed did not come off the tail tip, i put my snake in the damp pillow case and gently rolled my fingers of her tail, after 1min of this all was good!

Ok mate,

I don't know how experienced you are with snakes and reptile in general but you want to make sure the tail part of the skin comes off completely. you have to check that the scales on the cloaca are gone and there is no remaining skin on the tail that could create a tight ring on the tail. Otherwise, there is a risk of infection (scales on the cloaca) and damage to the tail (the tight ring reducing the blood supply to the tail) she might in extreme cases lose her tail by lack of blood supply.
Another part you want to check is her head and make sure the 2 spectacles (scales on the eyes) are gone... the best way to check all these is to examine the dead skin after the shed.
sorry if i sound like patronising you, as I said I don't know how experienced you are...
Good luck anyway

Yann.

If you are going to use a pillow case use slightly warm water to wet it
as it will help the skin to release a lot easier.
But i must stress ONLY slightly warm

I've never had a problem with shedding, i try to mist the enclosure once a day soon as i see the eyes go milky. And for the bubs i have a small stump i soak in water for an hour or so then place in the enclosure damp. They love it.
Prevention is the best cure, hope this helps
