Well sand in the gut can lead to collick (dont know if it is called this in snakes). I have never housed my snakes on sand, but it wouldn't be good if ingested.

Put her in a plastic box when feeding, or spread a piece of newspaper over the sand, then place the snake and food item on top of the newspaper - problem solved.

if u r going to use sand as a substrait well and good but u may wish to get some fake grass squares to feed them on these can be left in inclosure all the time i have also seen people use rubber door mats insted of fake grass

sand is no good if ingested

Yeah, no need to have her on sand at all, just chuck newspaper in the enclosure, or go for BC if you want something asethically pleasing.

Don't know if housing a snake on sand is a bad thing, but I can imagine a few problems coming from it, but certainly feeding on sand wouldn't be good.

If you chuck something else in the enclosure as substrate, then you won't have to worry about moving her either.
