if you caught a skink, and say froze it, could you use the same skink over and over again to scent your mice/rats?

most will accept skinks but its not the best thing to do, as i have said they can get parasties, get a taste for skinks then will be even harder to get onto rodents, only use then as a last resort

but if u have already feed ur snake a skink already the ur screwwed . thats why u work your way off the skink . thats what i did

This is usually not effective as you are rubbing pinky scent onto the skink. Before long the skink smells more like pinky than skink. It's always best to use a fresh skink each time you try.

No matter what it has eaten you are never screwed. It can always be weaned onto different prey by an experienced keeper.
