Realistically, chances of finding him?
Best places to look?
Any ideas?? |

I was freaking the other day too, thought my Jungle had escaped as couldn't find her anywhere, as it turns out she had actually buried herself in the bark and papertowel in the bottom of one of her hides.

One of my MD's went missing for 39 days exactly.....I searched everywhere for him and pretty much gave up looking
In the end I just let him be and hoped eventually he'll turn up and sure enough he did.
At first I tried all the "tricks" suggested to me but none of them really made a difference.... all I can say is keep an eye out and if you're going to search, search at night. ( I found mine about 1 am just by chance hearing some unusual rustling)
Just be mindful that he could be anywhere so be careful, don't slide things lift them etc.
Good luck ! I'm sure he'll turn up sooner or later.

Best thing is to get a piece of clear hose from bunnings for about a dollar and slit it lengthways, put that in between the glass opening in the middle ( not a great discription!)
That's where my snake got out from and I thought the gap was way too small!
He hasn't got out since,
Hope you find y ours! I am sure he will turn up :-) and I hope my bit of advice helps.

Dont stress out, it will turn up, i lost my spotted python a few days ago, but i found him 24hours later, behind the hot water system.... If you have dogs, be ready, so if they start barking you can run and check out what it is, thats how i found mine. luckly i have well trained dogs, and they know not to go too close to snakes!... i found him at night, just like JEZ said....
also, tell your neighbours the snake is missing.... i know a lady who got a phone call from a neighbour asking if she could come over and remove a snake from there bathroom, it ended up being one of her escapees that she lost over 6months ago!
Make sure you double check every place that is warm and tight..... best of luck. |

I've posted this a few times in the past, but just an idea.
Use an old bird cage, place a live/dead rodent inside, leave it out over night, move it to various spots in the house.
the plan is the snake goes in through the bars for a feed and is too fat to get out.
Good luck | | |
