Just curious for peoples opinions on weight loss. What percentage of a snakes body weight can be lost before there will possibly be ill health effects?
Hard one to answer as every snake will have different weights and amount of condition.
My childreni has now lost approx 15% of his weight as he has not shown interest in food for just over a month. I am not really worried at this stage, he hasn't missed a feed in 18 months so he was getting a bit of girth on him, but even to look at now he is becoming more lean.
At what point should i be getting worried if he continues to refuse food? Especially since it is summer and he should be eating well. |
