What are you tying to feed him with? Is it the same as what he was eating with his previous owner? And what temps have you got him at and how often are you handling?

It wouldnt be stress from a new environment because he would of settled in after 6 weeks
it would hav to be either the food item, temps, handling, stress thru noise or anythin else, the technique to feed him.....some snakes can be very shy eaters and will only eat if they are on their own..so try and just leave the food item in there for a day and see if the snake takes it voluntarily
