substrate?

Yes another subsrat question, well i have 2 questions
1.I have a medium/large enclosure for my diamond but only have reptile sand as a substrate but it won't cover the whole tank so is it possible because i have coconut reptile bark also could i combine them or put half half or buy another very expensize bag of reptile sand.

2.How much would and 5-7 foot olive cost.

cheers will
