He may very well grow out of it. I don't know a lot about the bredli but I have a friend who has a young bredli who is very snappy. If he's gonna show anybody a snappy snake its the little bredli he gets out.

Feed him as usual even a bit more - I have found sometimes snappy snakes can be a bit hungry. Most settle with regualr handling, once you have him out never go straight towards his face always bring your hand up under his head.

If you jerk your hand back everytime you think he's gonna strike this will cause him to do it more. You might provide yourself with more confidence if you start with a hook, until you learn to read his "emotions" - dunno the word to use there but you know what I mean.

|  | Regular Member | Join Date: May-06 Location: Hornsby Age/Gender: 33  | | | my bredli was horribly snappy as a baby,...whenever i'd approach his tank he'd attack the glass he was so keen to kill me, so i started taking him out and handling him for a few mins, then putting him back, as soon as he was back he'd turn around and have another go @ me, so i'd pull him out again, he got over it pretty quickly and became the nicest boy around.
be calm and gentle, little bredlis barely break teh skin.

A brain the size of a large dust grain doesn't hold the cognative ability to consider action and reaction - but they do have some wonderous wiring to insitinct! And something big, possible danger must attack is what gets wired there!
