Smile Tank Mates

hello, just wondering if there are any other reptiles that are compatible with eastern water dragons, other than blue tongues and shinglebacks. any help would be greatly appreciated. also looking to buy 2 EWD's if anyone can help...........THANKS

i dont thick shinglebacks are the best choice for water dragons as they come from 2 very diffrent envroments

yeah, ive seen a few places that have mertens water monitors and eastern water dragons together, along with turtles

adult water dragons dont really go to well in an inside tank anyway, they will get easily over 60cm and want large water and land areas,i would put them in a 1x2 meter avairy and then you can put an eastern beardie or some turts, would look good.

well my guy is about 30cm he's in 4ft standard tank, fully decked out, and he loves it....

4ft sounds like a good size enclosure for his current size, but will prefer larger when he is larger.

We keep a long neck turtle in with our WD's, just have to watch out for him nipping on the tails when the WD's are basking half in the water. Our old WD was larger and used to use the turtle as a foot stool.

are their any geckoes that are compatible? mine pair are only 30 to 35cm...
