The one and only thing that i'm glad a mate said when showing my mates kids his darwin was don't ever touch or try and handle a wild snake, go and get an adult as they are not the same as the ones we keep in captivity as long as they understand that first and foremost you will do great. good luck.

Yep, make sure you have the legalities sorted and your 'show' animal is very docile- I know of a very young childrens python shown to a class, one kid got too close and the snake bit him on the lip. Hilarious but some parents might not see it that way

Ive done a few kids parties before with a bloke...about 12 kids or so.
He was telling me before hand that the best way to get kids attention with young kids is to talk about what noises they make, colours, how they move, how they feed and not to be afraid to look like an idiot.
I wouldnt want to overload them with info as i doubt youll get very far.....just keep it simple but interestiong and fun!!!

In VIC you need a demonstrators permit, otherwise DSE have the right to remove that animal and any others you have on permit. Lots of people ignore this, read your permit, all licensed animals must be kept on your licensed premise and only taken off the premise to go to a vet or to be sold, if being sold must be done at a licensed premise. Thats why there is such a permit as a demonstrators permit!
