Hey ya ppl, Can anyone please tell me whats the max temp the cold end of the tank can get before i have to worry? And how do I deal with this problem, Is it just a point of changing the bask light to a lower watt up the hot end?

could be.... or it could be ventilation problem.... or even enclosure positioning problem.... it can only stay as cool as the outside air around it....
on extra hot days i put 2L soft drink bottles with frozen water inside them up the cool end if needed... wrapped in tea towels.
what are you keeping in the tank?
what size is it?
whats it made of?

Don't know if it's just me but i have found that when running a too big a globe that the time between switching off and coming back on (especially on hot days) is increased dramatically.
This seems to limit the amount of basking time the animal has as it seems to be off more than it's on. ( If all this makes sense? )

It makes sense. So should i drop the wattage of the bask light? Do you know how hot is too hot at cold?

Suppose it depends on what you are keeping in it?

im just guestimating here, but i think the hot end should be 30-32 degrees, and the cold end ...25ish.

Id have the hot end alot warmer then 32.
25 is fine for the cool end, just make sure there is plenty of ventilation, as glass tanks can turn into saunas if there isn't.

My tank has two vents in the cld end and a wire mesh roof. My cold end is getting to 29c and my hot end is getting 33-36. I'm just worried about the cold end getting too hot. And what do I do about it?

You still having trouble?..............do you have the older version uv in the tank..(the long tube) this ,without the heat lamp it will keep a glass tank at 22+ in a normal glass tank.... ive just switched all mine & working on my friends tanks to the new style uv.
You can keep them up the hot end of the tank without any problems & this makes it easier to have a good balance of temperature.
For a beardy the day time temp maximum is 36* for a juvie & 20 (if you can ) at the cool end(sand helps with this) & night time not cooler than 16* (at any end)
