i was wondering what the best thermostat is as i have a wierd obssesion with haveing only top quality stuff for my animals im currently useing one of those dogey little cheepo ones u get in a kit and am looking at a few on herptrader
specificaly this one NameDiming T hermostatRating 600 watts TypeDimming- Very accurate temperature control.
- Adjusts output to maintain heat at the level set.
- Increases bulb life as light bulbs are rarely runnng flat out.
- Minimum Load 40 Watt
any advice would be fan frelling tastic

The one pictured is perfect for controlling light globes but can also be used with ceramic heat emitters and heat pads/cords.

They are very similar in function to a Habistat or any other probe thermostat for that matter, just more reliable, already pre wired and easier to use. That does comes as an expense though as they are the more expensive ones on the market. I think one is made in the US and one in the UK.

have microclimate ones as well, but when i put a microclimate onto the incubator for a day, the temp swings were much greater.
