In the cage iv put an old electric blanket on the low seting and hace a reflector bulb over a branch for the snake to sit in. Do I need a thermostat for this or can i regulate the temperature my self using the electric blanket setting? |

How big is the python you're getting?

I sell 15W (4m) heatcord in my shop for $26 so ask your local herp supplier about them. You could probably get away with no thermostat with the cord, still a good idea so you can control the temp. but you could layby a thermostat and get that later.
