Please help me!
I have two long neck turtles, have had them since December but recently one has become a lot less active, its always sitting on the bottom of the tank just chilling out, where as the smaller turtle always swims around and greets me happily.. when i put new fish or blood worms in the tank the bigger turtle gets active but other than that he seems quite miserable..
also how do i tell what sex they are? will post some pics!!
would appreciate your help, thanks!!
p.s the photo with the 2 turtles, the darker shell on the left is the miserable turtle, is there something wrong with other turtles shell it looks dry?

I think the first photo is a male and the second is a female, I'm no expert but I was told if the bottom part of the under side of the turtle, near the tail, comes to a point, then its a male, if it is more rounded its a female. As for the lethargic turtle, maybe its the cold weather, do turtles slow down over winter like other reptiles? Saying that you probably have a water heater in there for them, so I'm not sure. Also make sure their UV tube is still good.
