upsizing from pinkies

was wondering at what age/size should i start my childerns on fuzzies. It eats 5 pinkies once a week with no probs, i tried feeding 3 days after his last feed and he ate 2 more with no hassel (could of feed him 10 the way he ate them) He is about 6 mnth old.

Should be feeding it something approximately 1.5 times the girth of your snake. If that helps...

When i had a mac it was on small adult mice by the time it was a year old.

ive never fed any of my snakes pinky mice when they were hathclings but ive never kept antaresia before but ive seen 2 week old clutch of maccies take a pinky rat each

once a week but its a pink rat cause hes fussy

Easy way to find out, offer him/her a fuzzy or weener and see how he/she handles it, I've seen tiny snakes eat some quite large prey items. With it eating 5 pinkies a week it shouldn't have to much trouble taking on a fuzzy or weener.

ok cool...might try mine on something larger then it seems to have no problem downing the 5 pinkies in just afew minutes

I dont think you should be feeding it 5 pinkies a week.

Why dont you try feeding it once a week, but something bigger, say velvet or weaner mice. My bredli started on one pinkie a week, and after 10 weeks, is now on one velvet a week.

Snakes dont eat every day in the wild, so once a week should be fine, just keep upping the size of the meal... weaner mice/adultmice/pinkie rats/weaner rats/adult rats and so on!!

My childrens python currently eats one adult mouse once a fortnight, and that is fine for her, and I wouldn't switch to anything bigger

i dont feed him every day, i feed only once aweek and he consumes them in no time, i tried the other day (3days after he ate 5 pinkies) to see if he would eat more which he did, thats why im asking if i should take after McDonlds and upsize lol

I would feed it pinky rats, as said above they can eat these when much younger or smaller, I have a apir of 6 month old maccies and im feeding them large rat pinky's.
