Cool What do i need for a bredli

hi all im picking up my first snake in the next couple days its a female bredli about 1ft long and i just wanted to know what things im going to need, the bredli comes with an enclosure and some branches but im not sure what else i have to get before i pick her up. so far iv bin told ill need the following items:

thermostate digital or probe (which is better)

thermometer

water bowl

hide box

frozen mice

substrate

heat bulb and cage

uv light

have i left any thing out if so can any one tell me what else i need cheers

Assuming the enclosure comes with lights and heat lamp that will get you started.

Where are you getting it from? Is it hypo or normal?

the enclosure comes with a heat bulb fitting but no bulb or uv and im not sure what is a hypo or what the difference is

hypo will have reduced black pigmentation.

Grade 1 hypos have no black pigmentation.

ok as far as i know its just a normal bredli but shes still got really bright colour

Cool. be good to see a pic.

If you dont have the enclosure fully set up prior you can always use a click clack for a little while too

2 hide boxes, one in cool end one in hot.
i dont think UV is necessary, i dont use it.

it isnt? oh ok. I thought any growing reptile needed a little bit of UV atleast...

UV light source. Most lizards and almost all turtles and tortoises need ultraviolet light to produce vitamin D3, which stimulates their bodies to produce calcium so they don't get metabolic bone disease. Snakes generally don't need UV light because they get D3 from eating whole-bodied animals, like mice and rats.

for now i only have the money to buy one hide so which end should i put the hide hot end or cold and why?
