be sure to give them a nice cold winter cooling.
Have you been cooling them in previous years?

I have not tried maternal incubation but I would think that artificially incubated eggs would hatch quicker.
Last year I incubated some eggs for a friend. The mother lived outdoors. The eggs were layed late in the season ( she was an atherton) and they took ages to hatch.
My murrays hatched in 48 days this year. Super fast with 100% hatch rate.

The beginners guide
1/ seperate the animals
2/ cool them down until September
3/ Adjust light cycle to a winter cycle
4/ In september warm animals up slowly
5/ Adjust light cycle
6/ Make sure both animals are well feed.
7/ Introduce male into females enclosure (not the other way round).
8/ When male loses interest, remove him
9/ Give female a suitable place for nesting
10/ Watch for signs ( there is a pre-lay shed, many remove the water bowl then)
11/ Remove eggs and incubate
12/ Advertise on herp trader to sell young
13/ Use proceeds to buy other pythons.
There is a great booklet called "keeping Carpet Pythons in captivity" that you should purchase.

Good Info Fuscus, thankyou. It's now copied and pasted for future reference.
To breed you need a male and a female, some mood music and ply them with snake wine.
Em
Sorry, just being bizarre.

If anyone is trying to breed jungles then you want to put them together before september. My atherton girl ovulates at the end of August.
