I have tried the water mist and the shed help spray with a gentle rub but the skin seems to be very attached I don't want to damage the scales underneath by pulling it off. The rest that she has gotten off is in small pieces like a bluey shed, other then the dry winter air what could be causing this, she hates going in the water. She sheds every 50 to 60 days and she is over 1mt long.
Any other ideas to get it off?
dose it hurt to leave it there?

What I did was,
Get a towel and soak it in luke warm water, then hold the snake in the towel and let him/her move around this will help soften the skin, plus her moving will rub it off - That generally works. I also got a large click clack and placed the towel in there and she was searching around and was rubbing the skin off without even knowing.
The end result all of the skin was off, bar for one section that was left on her head. I was holding her trying to help rub it off with the towel, however that didn't work. There looked to be a dot that was just sitting on her, so I touched it to remove it and the dot of shed stuck to my finger and she moved her head back which caused the rest of the left over shed to come off.
As to what would cause the bad shed, would depend on a couple of things.
1. What is the temperature of the snakes enclosure (hot and cool end)
2. What are the humidity levels in the enclosure?
3. I have read that when a snake has mites, it can cause shedding problems.

We used warm water in a spray bottle and a pair of suede gloves, which quickly got wet. She actually seemed to enjoy it. We gently let her sit [ ? ] on the table as I sprayed her my O/h ran his gloved hand down her body. Surprisingly she didn't move! Just let us do it. The skin rolled off like a sock! Mind you, when we finished, she went back to biting us!!

How long can the skin stay on them and still be OK, I don't want to stress her out to much, she started sheding early this morning and she is usualy done in a hour so this is a long hard day for the girl. should I leave her rest over night and try again tomorrow, she dosn't seen to be to bothered by the skin.

I have had Stimsons that had shedding problems during the winter (I live in Alice Springs and we get single digit humidity during the winter). I've eliminated the problem by putting a container of water near their heat source. Beautiful clean sheds for the last 4 or 5 years now I'm only talking from an Alice Spring's perspective, this might not work as well where it's naturally more humid.

She hates water, she won't go in a tub of water and hates to be misted with water, anyone would think I was using acid insted of water the way she jump and carries on when I try to wet her!!! All is well now, she is back to her beautiful self.
