I think, first, you should make sure you have the appropriate licence, and a vivarium to house it in with heating etc etc. I think you should get a hatchie, so you can get used to it, while its small, and it can get used to you. If its your first snake, a snappy adult might not be best.

It depends what size house you have for it. If you get a coastal, can you afford to get a bigger enclosure for it when it gets bigger?? Go to a breeder and have a hold of a few and see them in real life, and then make an educated decision.

just depends on what you do end up getting and how bigg it is when you buy it and where you get it from also !
hatchies don't need a bigg one but i think they grow fast and they do get quite bigg!

the first thing you need to organise is where you are going to house your snake also heating thermostats ect, these cost money and need to be sorted before you purchase a snake.
