What would you do or say it is

Ok I got a Coastal from a member on this forum and on the lid it stated it's had three feeds but since I have had it in four feeds it has regurgitated three of those meals usually two days after it's feed.

It's on a hatchie rack and all the other hatchies from a clutch I breed aren't doing this so what can it be - is it the snake or something I'm doing wrong?

I don't handle this hatchie and it's happy to take a feed but wont keep it down.

If the temps are ok, its a bit of an enigma. Safe side says vet.

Sounds like stress, hopefully thats all it is. But I certainly would be moving it right away from my others in case its something that could be spread

have you contacted the person who sold it to you??
maybe they can help to shed some light/ tell you how they were feeding it. maybe it was done differently...

If it was feeding fine before you got it then it'd probably be stress... Move it to somewhere darker and see how you go with it...

Edit:
Which feeds did it regurgitate?

But wouldn't the other hatchies but stressing two - who is to say it was feeding ok to start with - I don't know!
They are in a dark place 3/4 of the day.

Wouldn't have thought stress, as in that case it would not have taken meal in first place.

Auz - Stress could be related to any factor - so the other hatchies feeding well doesn't necessarily mean that this one isn't stressed...

I had a Juvenile Stimmie arrive last season that had an almost flawless feeding history for the 6mths previous - he took six weeks to start feeding in my care while the female that arrived with him took every feed from week one without issue. Both were kept in identical tubs with identical conditions...

I have never had a regurgitation though so am unsure if this is the cause or it is something more serious...

This is a very good point - my stressed non-feeder showed little interest in the food at all - certainly didn't strike at a meal let alone consume it first...

I would suggest getting a vet to check it over. Regurgetation isnt all that common in healthy animals.

Could it be struggling to digest the size of food it is taking and therefore regurging so it doesnt cause internal problems? Maybe try a smaller prey item?
