My snake was due a feed over the weekend but she refused the mouse. She stayed in her hide most of the weekend.
Much to my surprise when I got home last night I found a little ball of skin in the enclosure, a perfect in tact shed. I hadn't even noticed her eyes going cloudy and we handled her on Saturday.
When should I feed her next? Is it OK to give her a mouse now or should I wait until the next scheduled feed time?
Thanks

You will only notice the cloudy eyes around 5-7 days before the shed, and generally they will just stay in a hide for most of this time.
Some snakes will not eat at all during this shed cycle, while others will eat through it. I have some that will and some that won't, so as a general rule I will not offer food to any during this period. An extra week without food is not going to hurt.
I find all of my snakes will eat straight after a shed, so go ahead and try. It will not do any harm.

Most of my guys wont eat anywhere in the shedding cycle. They will usually take a feed straight after their shed. I have never had a problem with this.
ps - first time i found a 100% intact skin i was pretty fascinated. Can see all the individual scales covering the head. Very cool IMO!

when they shed, they have cloudy eyes for anything up to a week, then usually go clear again for a few days before shedding.

Yea i think they dont usually mind eating after a shed. Once i didnt realise my bredli was about to shed and she ate like about two days prior to the shed.

I don't feed mine until after they shed. I just had a 12 month old childreni shed and a 2 year old childreni shed today. They both just took their food no problems about an hour ago.
